LANIS Software was designed for Loan Officers by Loan Officers. LANIS Software is packed with unique features that allow loan officers to perform comprehensive financial analysis via our proprietary pricing engine, algorithms, and our intuitive design flow. Our navigation is simple; incorporating links to import and export digital documents and will have the ability to integrate with third-party web sites, reporting and applications. Advanced customizable reporting and analytics are being built into a future version. Today the output is fully compliant, accurate and transparent.
The LANIS Software Suite is a cloud-based software solution for Licensed and Registered Loan Officers. Available via all current major browser versions, the LANIS Software application collects borrower information and securely processes and runs scenarios allowing the borrower deep financial analysis, resulting in the best choice for the borrowers and the best Pull-Through for the Loan Officer. The service will be available 24/7/365.
Other products, like the myriad of Loan Origination Systems, provide some of the basic prequalification analysis and data gathering. Some other products focus on presentation to the borrower, but none of the products available have the complete feature set or provide the revenue recovery opportunity that LANIS Software already does.
LANIS Software was designed to be intuitive and easy to use. We have adopted the “Bread Crumb” approach to navigating the system. LANIS Software has been called an “Amazing Training Tool’ to aid in the interview process of a potential borrower. Depending on the borrower’s situation, a standard Agency, FHA, USDA or VA loan can be completed with LANIS Software in 7 to 15 minutes. It follows the natural flow of a conversation and has evolved and been tested through thousands of Borrower interviews.
At some point in the loan process and the Borrowers may not qualify based on the results. This is where LANIS Software is unique in that it will reference Lenders guidelines and help them to understand the reasons why a loan option the Borrowers want may not be available to them. It is also beneficial in that the Loan Officer can make the decision at that point to submit the loan to underwriting or not. Specifically this is based on the Ability to Repay Act and a guideline for the Quality Mortgage (QM) test. If the loan does not fit traditional guidelines, the LANIS Softwre will recommend the Loan Office check other Non-QM Lender guidelines to see if the loan will fit with other loan programs.
LANIS Software has been designed to minimize Data Entry fields. In a recent 3 loan Adjustable Rate Mortgage side-by-side comparison using an industry leading LOS system, 27 separate pages were used with 247 data fields, the majority of which require manual calculations outside the LOS system. Using the same example, LANIS Software used 4 separate pages and 34 data fields, all of which were auto-calculation features of LANIS Software. This represents a 726% efficiency improvement.
In another example for a 30 year fixed-rate mortgage, using an industry leading LOS system, 27 separate pages were used with 40 data fields, the majority of which required manual calculations outside the system. Using this same example, LANIS Software used 4 separate pages and 11 data fields, all of which were auto-calculation features of LANIS Software. This represents a 364% efficiency improvement.
LANIS Software has extensive, detailed financial analysis features allowing the borrower to make a sound financial decision based on Return On Investment (shown as a percentage and measured in months), and Closing Costs vs. Cost of Money Over Time (and over the Term of the loan).
LANIS Software also measures Reserve requirements based on current guidelines for the number of months required and percentage of existing balances for income and/or personally owned properties (such as second homes).
To assist the Loan Officer in the process, Guidelines and Training Tips have been built into the system. LANIS Software will assist the Loan Officer during the interview and will notify them along the way if the loans they are proposing will qualify under current guidelines. The LANIS Software will display a Caution or Red Flag if the loan is out of compliance, or simply will not qualify. This system has been tested over the past 17 years and to date, 95% of all loans using the LANIS SOFTWARE submitted to lenders have funded and closed. The industry average is 65% of loans submitted ever fund and close.
